I had the fantastic opportunity to interview DWEAL on Skype we are starting to proceed with Skype to interview bands world wide. :D
DWEAL will be comming out with their Album soon and they are performing in Concert with Killswitch Engage and As I Lay Dying.

A Little About DWEAL

:D
DWEAL is about music, to damaged ears it may sound like pussy metal or sissy rock but we can assure you it is definitely not EMO, because it is not dependent on any big record company (yet) its not indie either actually we don't give a *uck about the name of the genre we play it's random bull*bit and it sounds like DWEAL.

I have an open ear to listen to all genres of music, I really dig discovering new bands, when I first started my eZine back in August of 2007 I got an email from a person named Nink Nink saying check out Carmen.

:D
I went to Carmens myspace page and check out her music what can I say I fell in love with her lyrics and discovered that there is alot of soul and that each songs is like a breath of fresh air with different beats different sounds.

:D
Something I picked up on in Carmens music her lyrics and style portray imagery you feel the emmotion in her songs and you can see a picture of what shes conveying in her lyrics. One can easily relate to her songs they are original and real.:D
I immediately bought my treasured CD Carmen Chiles SOULution and jewel to have in my CD collection, the artwork is fabulous.

:D
I had alot of questions in my first interview and you can view this at the following link: HMTV Canada Tina Interviews Carmen Chiles SOULution

:D
Our first interview was last year in 2007 I had the wonderful opportunity to follow up on Carmen Chiles, tune in and find out about her Festivals comming up for 2008.

:D

A Little About Carmen Chiles

:D
Her debut album “SOULution” was released in August 2007, and within four months Carmen signed a licensing and distribution deal for the CD with Amplitude Records International.

:D
The struggles that she faced while getting to this point are clearly reflected in the album as she so eloquently expresses her great appreciation for the unsung hero’s in today's society thus allowing her listeners to relate to the many struggles that we all face everyday.

:D
“Hear Me Feel Me Understand Me” was inspired by a complete stranger. A hard working man who Carmen happened to see washing the windows of a bank late one night; hence the first lines of the song, “Oh why’d you wipe me clean like a window pane, now they see.”

:D
“I feel that my journey and all the struggles and obstacles I’ve had to overcome in making ‘SOULution’ are really not that different than the struggles and obstacles we all deal with everyday. The key is to look deep within yourself for the answers.” ~Carmen Chiles

:D
“SOULution” is available now on iTunes, Rhapsody, Napster and Sony Connect.

From 1991-96 she published Rock Central, a monthly rock magazine distributed throughout southern Wisconsin and northern Illinois. In October of 1997, she helped launch the 94.1 JJO Local Stage, a weekly local music radio hour which she hosted from 1997 to 2004. She has also written the monthly music news column, WI Music News, since 1991.

My husband John and I, went to New York City in September 2003 to see the legendary Les Paul. Les and his band were incredible! Les performs two shows every Monday night at the Iridium Jazz Club on 51st and Broadway. After his late show, he always stays to meet fans and sign autographs. I would like to thank Les Paul and his manager, Joseph Horn, for being so gracious when we visited. Les wrote a wonderful foreword for my book, Famous Wisconsin Musicians, plus called into the Joey Reynolds show on WOR 710 am in New York City later that night during my on-air interview, ...at 3:30 am! They’re not kidding when they say New York is the city that never sleeps! See the "Wizard of Waukesha" every Monday night at the Iridium Jazz Club. Order tickets at www.iridiumjazzclub.

In October of 2006, I caught Les Paul's 10pm show at the Iridium. Now ninety-one, you couldn't tell that once he started playing. He was accompanied by some incredible musicians, and invited a few special guests to join him on stage. Cracking jokes in-between songs, Les has the spirit of a teenager. If you're in New York on a Monday night, don't pass up the chance to experience a legend.

I had a very entertaining interview with CorpuS. There are a couple of funny bloopers in the beginning of our interview I just woke up at the time I did the interview. CorpuS has a unique original sound thats addicting I can't wait for their album to come out and I'm looking forward to seeing this band live in concert when they tour the USA and Canada. Tune in and check out CorpuS they have lots in store for their fans for 2008.

:D
A Little Bio About CorpuS
:D
CorpuS is a powerhouse, four-man hard rock band from the Midwestern United States. CorpuS features Tucker Tonkel, vocals; Mike Haynes, guitar and vocals; Chris Schmoker, bass; and T.J. Snow, drums.
For the past four years, CorpuS has been thriving in an area of the U.S. where cover-heavy bar bands are the norm. South Dakota has little to no support for local original music and CorpuS has made a name for themselves by putting on a show that demands attention. With no way to avoid playing the four hour sets at bars and clubs throughout the Midwest, the band made a decision to be different and put on a show featuring all their original songs in the mix.

:D
Their debut album “Show Me Somthin” was released in 2005 and has received rave reviews. Now, working on their sophomore album, the band has taken a break after more than two years of touring. The album features the songs “Rectified” and "Leave Me Alone", recorded by famed producer Bradley Cook (Foo Fighters, Queens of the Stone Age, Yellowcard, Counting Crows, Everclear, SR71) and mastered at Oasis Mastering by Eddy Schreyer(Chevelle, Tool, Sevendust, Avenged Sevenfold, A Perfect Circle, Korn, Sublime, System of a Down, Offspring), along with “When I Need You” and “Change”. Their song “Rectified” is in current rotation on various radio stations across the U.S. CorpuS has shared the main-stage with bands such as: Powerman 5000, Crossfade, Saliva, Drowning Pool, Jackyl and Egypt Central. They have also been featured magazines such as: (Modern Drummer Magazine-drummer TJ Snow, No Cover Magazine with Seether, Muen Magazine, Indie Label Magazine, Tub Magazine, Artist Launch Magazine, and Medium Magazine). The demand by fans, for CorpuS to perform live, has been so great that clubs across the Midwest carry their CD in jukeboxes and on regular DJ rotations while the band is away. :D
CorpuS, an unsigned band, has been working very hard for a chance to take their show on to the National level. They have been described as having,”A showy set, with attitude and flashy lights galore”, as well as being, “top-notch, with aggressive music and powerful vocals”. Front man Tonkel has been quoted as having, “a range and maturity in his voice, rarely heard out of vocalists on this level”. With the addition of Snow, formerly with ‘Sons of Poseidon’, a National Metal Act, CorpuS is gaining much respect in the music industry. Snow made his first appearance in 'Modern Drummer Magazine’ in December of '07, and recently signed an endorsement deal with Trick Drums. The band was also recently nominated the Best Regional Band of '07 award. CorpuS is ready to take the next step.
I had a fantastic opportunity to interview a brutal metal band from Memphis. Sacrum has their own defining style original and brutal and this energy comes out in their music and their live performances. They are staying dedicated working hard on their new material for their new Album.

:D
A Little About Sacrum

SACRUM'S BIO (BY JEFF WILLIAMS):

SACRUM BEGAN WITH ME MEETING HARVEY. I STARTED PLAYING GUITAR AT AGE 14 AND BEGAN PROGRESSING RATHER RAPIDLY. INSTEAD OF PLAYING TRENDY POP MUSIC, WE ALWAYS HAD A KNACK FOR COMING UP WITH A DIFFERENT SOUND, AND WERE ALWAYS SEEING HOW HARD WE COULD PUSH EACH OTHER. WE NEEDED A BASSIST: ENTER BIG JOHN, ONE OF MY BEST FRIENDS AND A SOLID MUFU**ER ON STAGE... WE HAVE BEEN RECORDING DEMOS UNDER THE MONIKER SACRUM SINCE 2003, AS SOON AS MY BROTHER CAME AND JAMMED WITH US WE KNEW WE HAD SOMETHING. LOSING OUR FATHER TO LUNG CANCER DEFINATELY LIT THE FIRE UNDER US, HARVEY LOST HIS STEP BROTHER AND OUR DEAR FRIEND OUR SENIOR YEAR, AND WE HAVE SEEN CLASSMATES THAT HAVE BEEN MURDERED OR COMMITTED SUICIDE. ALOT OF TRAGEDY, BUT MAYBE THAT'S WHY OUR MUSIC IS SO BRUTAL. ONE OF THE MANY REASONS WE PLAY MUSIC IS TO PAY TRIBUTE TO OUR HEROES, LIKE THE LATE GREAT DARRELL LANCE ABBOTT AND PROUDLY CARRY ON WHAT PANTERA RE-DEFINED, RE-INVENTED, HEAVY METAL. NOT TO WRITE A NOVEL BECAUSE WE HAVE BEEN THROUGH ENOUGH B.S. AND TRAGEDY TO BREAK UP A LESSER BAND, BUT BY GOD'S GRACE WE ARE STILL HERE AND BETTER THAN EVER.

When I visited their myspace page for the first time I thought this is odd, unique and very different I was intrigued by the design of the violin and I was spellbound by the surround sound effect of their sound its like experiencing a live concert in a theatre. Vio7 is a unique different very original masterpiece of sound a pleasure to hear. Vio7 is comming out with the re-release of their full length Album The 7th String soon.!

A Little About Vio7

:D

Armand Melnbardis was born in Riga, Latvia. His violin studies began at age five in a specialized music school. Armand toured internationally since the age of twelve. In 1992 after one of his solo performances in the famous Wagner Hall in Riga, he was offered to continue his education at Stetson
University with world renown classical violinist Dr. Alvaro Gomez, where upon his arrival he became the concertmaster of Stetson Symphony Orchestra. During his studies, he performed and competedlocally and nationally, winning several classical violin contests including Stetson Concerto

Competition and A.S.T.A. Musicians Competition. Armand has played and toured with such
internationally known artists as Luciano Pavarotti, Barry Manilow, Ray Price, Debbie Gibson,
Richard Marx, Rob Rock and N'Sync. In the last few years he has focused on the development of his own model 7-string electric violin.

He has became known as an incredibly versatile player, dazzling the audiences with his
admirable technique as a classical player as well as effortlessly switching from jazz to rock with electric violin.

He is an author of the only learning and teaching system for 7-string violin playing technique. His approach unlocks unlimited possibilities of using this instrument in various rock, blues and jazz applications.

Armand is also a director and co-founder of "High Velocity Strings". This non-profit 501 (c) (3) music education program is designed to promote and inspire young musicians by organizing music and instrument demonstrations, concerts and master classes in schools. "HVS" often offer unique opportunities for young musicians to join Vio7 on stage as featured artists for special music selections.

The main attraction has been his hard rock group, appropriately named Vio7. CD titled "The Seventh String" has been released in the summer of 2007.

I had a fantastic opportunity to interview Toronto's based MENEW I found out about this band through a one of my friends that works at Allen Bradley in my hometown Cambridge. Their music sounds lyrics blew me away, if you can see this band in concert they are awesome one of their Killer Guerilla shows was when MENEW performed on a stage suspended in Mid Air to find out this and more tune in because MENEW has lots more in store for their fans.

:D
A Little About MENEW

:D
" In a parade of innovation, imagination and realization, allows you to experience the possibility you can save the world, or at least, believe you can. In a culture of hype and nonsense, their music can transport the listener -- reaching for the sky while remaining firmly planted on the ground."

It's not often an up and coming band of brothers, like Canadian stalwarts , get the opportunity, so early in their career, to perform on the arena stage with U2, work with top-rated record producers Rick Parashar (Pearl Jam, Bon Jovi) and Scott Mathews (Elvis Costello, Eric Clapton) and shoot a video with George Lucas' Industrial Light & Magic cinematographer Hans Uhlig, all while still in their 20's.

Shade, Key and Nathan Samuel Phillip, who together form the group , know their way around guerilla marketing almost as well as the stage and studio, and are fearless in accomplishing their mission to reach as many people as possible with their brand of revolutionary rock and live performance. We've seen them performing live on a flatbed truck, and on a stage lifted over 30 feet in mid-air by an 80 ton crane in downtown Toronto. They've toured across North America, and last year they hit the UK.

Born, raised and based in Toronto, Canada, started their music study and interest while their ages were still in the single digits. Nathan recalls, "I remember hearing U2 for the first time riding the bus to elementary school, and since then we've been hooked." "Greats like Bowie, Dylan, U2 and The Beatles are just a few of the reasons we formed the band to begin with." Shade comments, "Although we are influenced by them, we use them as inspiration more than anything. We work hard at making our material original, and all our own."

The name (pronounced "MEN-u") is a symbol more than a word, a universal name, sans language restrictions. "Although it originally came from merging two signs in our garage rehearsal space, we also liked that it was a sort of palindrome with a reversed "E", explains Nathan.

Has spent the last few months in studio preparing their "Of The Future" release on the RedCore Label. Although their launch of the new CD coincides with their appearance at NxNE (they kick off the whole convention), the remainder of the year will see touring North America for promotional and live performances in major markets (more info to follow).
With ideas and sounds of the future band clearly established in his mind, Saint John in 2006 teamed up with Danish youngster Casper Christensen - an imaginative folk-influenced pianist who immediately fuelled the singer’s artistic innovations.
Together they brought to life the mellow low key piano-led track ‘Spiritual Friend’ after a sudden death of a friend Ben Bernstein (RIP), the man who encouraged Saint John to appreciate his musical talent and spiritual path. What was to follow was an unbreakable partnership between the pair.

Their music is awesome and if you have I tunes their you can purchase their tracks. I'm looking forward to September when they come out with their first EP Surrealism and we look forward to doing a follow up.
A Little Bit About Davincis Band
                                                                                                :D
The story of Davinci’s begins with Scottish born Ian Saint John . A lyrically ambitious singer-songwriter whose beliefs and determination has helped bring to life the most unlikely trio.

                                                                                                </itunes:summary>

With the bands line up solidified in the summer of 2004 and the machine set into motion, the band is poised to shake the foundations, as well as the rafters, of the cookie-cutter corporate so called Rock and Roll. Some of you may recognize the music and the faces already. Asphalt Valentine are formerly Backseat Superstars. To those who say Hard Rock is living in the past and long past it's prime, here is a middle finger flip... Asphalt Valentine say "there's no time like the f*****g present!!!"

I had an entertaining interview with Nefastus Dies we covered a indepth discussion about Urban Cancer I'm looking forward to seeing them in Concert on June 28th.

:D :D
                                                A Little About Nefastus Dies
;)
Nefastus Dies officially took form in march 2002 when Void and Betrayal met drummer Tommy Mckinnon, bassist Auriel and finally keyboardist Iraabbas. It's at this precise moment that the band started composing as a whole and hence the primal conceptual direction was born. The band mainly focused on creating new songs and playing shows when the opportunity presented itself. At that time there was enough material to record two full length album and the band started gaining live experience through various gigs. Unfortunately, drummer Tommy Mckinnon was then asked to leave for personal reasons. Scythrawl (ex Trails of Anguish / Unquintessence) was afterwards contacted to take over the drumming duties. This marked a new step for the band's direction. After a lot of discussion the band agreed that drastic changes needed to be applied to the overall sound and concept. Most songs we're butchered then restructured in a more vicious and agressive manner. The concept was also rebuilt from scratch. Betrayal dropped vocals and focused only on guitar. They then contacted Ill-Fate (ex bassist for Winter Bestowed & Ion Dissonance) to take over the vocal dutties.
:D
The band released gutiarist Betrayal and moved main composer Auriel from bass to guitar and went on their "A prelude of somber days yet to come" tour to promote their "Prelude" promo recording. In march they entered Yannick St-Amand's studio to record their first full length "Urban Cancer". The album will be out by then end of the year on Siege Of Amida records and through Candlelight Records in america

I had an entertaining interview with Nefastus Dies we covered a indepth discussion about Urban Cancer I'm looking forward to seeing them in Concert on June 28th.

                                                A Little About Nefastus Dies;)

Jr Huddleston had played with many local bands such as Traxx, Manic, Spectrum, Sticks & Strings, Stand Wild, Taralatrom, & Tork.

The music pulls at your soul and leaves you with something almost unexplainable. I had an awesome opportunity to interview a favourite band of mine from the U.K. Their sound blew me away when I first heard Overcome and they get better evertime I hear their music. Sister Ketamine is producing an Album currently and when it comes out they are going to blast everyone with their awesome sound I cant wait to buy their CD. Tune in to find out more.

:D
About Sister Ketamine
Metalcore band Sister Ketamine formed in mid 2005 in Greenwich, south east London. Formed out of frustration against the dying London music scene drowning in lame indie rock, pop punk and its overblown egoes, they wanted to prove a point. Meeting promoters and venues that refused to let heavy bands play they stuck to their no nonsence DIY approach that eventually payed off. Top music venues in London such as the world famous Camden Underworld, Barfly and Dublin Castle opened its doors and let them support the so called nexy big things. Music fans and gig goers soon sat up and had to pay attention to crushing and frentic live sets that left the headliners hiding in their dressing rooms unable to follow the chaos that had just ensued. Sister Ketamines style of Metalcore is not a one trick pony. Carefully crafted songwriting that draws you in, demands attention with its huge grooves and hooks with occasional discordant off kilter timing never fails to floor the listener. Sister Ketamine always knew where they were heading and how the music was going to evolve. Having outgrown their influances SK now have devoloped their own unique sound this can be heard on such songs as Anthem to the end of Everythig , Berayal and mosh pit favorite 26 Degrees. Several eps in the can and an ep in the works showcase the talent and truly crushing devastion that this band creates. Remember the name and where you heard it first..... :D :D

I had a very entertaining and fun interview with Don Coleman Canada's Premiere AC/DC Vocalist about his song track Women Whiskey and Rock n Roll celebrating the life and spirit of former front man Bon Scott for AC/DC.

This song will be part of a compilataion CD to help raise funds for The Australian Cancer Council

;)

Donald Coleman made a decision one day following his 1,000th live performance.
The diverse vocalist that he is, is a special element of his persona and fans enjoyed it all.
But it wasn't what the crowds chanted to hear

It was his rendition of Back In Black that brought the house down and blew the roof off The Hard Rock Cafe
(Top Male Vocalist - Ultimate Jam - Toronto 2005)

It's when Don Coleman crawls inside the skin of Bon Scott & Brian Johnson that the dust falls from the rafters of many venues.
Don Coleman is a humble yet confident AC/DC vocalist who has three mottos all instilled by his Management Company / Southern Cross Gypsy Promotions (Toronto)
Rule #1 - Take Care Of The Talent:D
Rule #2 - Practice Practice Practice:D
Rule #3 - Obey rules 1 & 2 and Bigger Things Will Come:D
Women, Whiskey & Rock’n’Roll is a song written by Don Coleman to celebrate the life and spirit of Bon Scott.

;)

Bon Scott was a lyrical genius who was the world renowned front man for the iconic rock group AC/DC. Bon’s vocals are unique and recognized by millions of fans the world over. He is a legend!

This song is dedicated to Ronald Belford Scott, his family, friends and fans. Bon Scott will remain with us forever!

Independant female solo artist that takes your breath away in her powerful vocals. One of my best friends.
:)

I had the fantastic opportunity of interviewing my friend from Ireland Ise about her album Angel One. Ise had sent me a CD over a year ago a must hear. Ise music is very original and a masterpiece of sound. Ise is able to touch your heart with her beautiful lyrics and you can feel the experience of emmotions she had gone through. Angel One CD is a treasured gift and a must have gem to own.

A Little About Ise

:D
The Journey - Íse's Biography I was born into a family of Lighthouse Keepers and Master Craftsmen in a small coastal town called Balbriggan, north of Dublin, Ireland.

One of my earliest memories is of the sound of my Fathers trumpet alarm call resonating throughout the little 2 up1 down house every morning cos he needed at least half of the 11 kids to push his old Bedford van ....and on a Sunday morning as he played the trumpet, marching behind him around and around the table before he took us on our Sunday mystery tour.

He would put one of the armchairs into the back of the van and we'd all pile in........2 lucky kids up front and 9 bobbing heads behind fighting over whose turn it was to sit in the armchair! But as soon as the singing began, harmony ruled.......literally! We'd usually end up on a local beach picking shells or washed up coal. Or in the Autumn, out in the countryside picking wild crab apples and damsons but all the way there and all the way back, we'd sing along with our dad to all his favourite musicals like some madcap hill billy version of the Von Trappe family!

There wasn't spare cash for music lessons but my eldest brothers voice was noticed by a local priest who was an accomplished musician and voice trainer. He became a champion boy soprano and there were many reel to reel recordings of his voice in the house. I use to listen to them mesmerised and at an early age learned to sing some of the classical standards from them.

But at the same time I was also listening to my older siblings record collections......mostly Pink Floyd, David Bowie, Neil Young and Cat Stevens. So I left school with buckets full of naivety and dreams of becoming a musical diva, a rock star and an opera singer! So as Jack of all trades and Master of none, I joined Sinead O'Connors ex rock group........Ton Ton MaCoote. While in the band I did a musical, Blood Brothers and was also singing the classics at weddings and funerals! Then on the road to no-where, disaster struck. My youngest brother of 13 died and I woke up and began a journey inside.

I had the awesome entertaining interview with Edges of Seven their new Album Born Again Hard blew me away when I first heard their sound tune in and listen to what E07 has in store for the fans in 2008!

A Little Bit About Edges of Seven

Imagine Trent Reznor armwrestling James Hetfield, with Rob Zombie as referee….now you’ve got a good idea of the Edges of Seven sound. Simply put, a fusion of heavy rock and electronic influences plus one important element: “originality”.

;D
EVERGREEN TERRACE is a melodic hardcore band from Jacksonville, FL that takes cues from no other. The band transitions effortlessly from fast, powerful heavy hardcore to melodic punk/rock. This has allowed them to tour with a diverse group since their start in late 1999, including Rise Against, As I Lay Dying, Strung Out, Norma Jean, Thursday, Every Time I Die, Hatebreed, Gwar and many others.

A Little Bit about Bella Morte

Alternative rock with a gothic-metal twist, from the heart of Virginia. It isn't just for lovers anymore. As one of the underground's hardest working bands, Bella Morte have gained respect as one of the most powerful live acts going today.

:D By combining electronics, graveyard ballads, emotive storytelling and heavy guitar riffs, they have developed a style that is uniquely their own.
                :D
As they continue to tour and write new material, Bella Morte remain eternally thankful that they have been able to make a living doing what they love: singing songs about the dead and winning over the hearts of the living along the way.

His music has had a lasting influence on my life through my teenage years the song patio lanterns for example was when I met my first and got married.
:D
When I heard "Ain't Life Amazing" for the first time the mean guitar and strong vocals comming from Kim Mitchell blew me away I went out and bought his CD right away.
For sure I will be attending every live concert we can this summer Kim Mitchell puts on a fantastic show and sounds great live! His next concert is on June 19th at the Molsen Amplitheatre in Toronto Ontario.
